Droplets of Love (and serious ENERGY!)

Here at Inspire Life we know the name of the game in life is energy. Having enough energy to get through work, take care of kids, tend to the house, make dinner and workout can be a challenge for anyone. One way to make sure we have enough fuel to get through each day (besides getting consistent Network Spinal care) is to have healthy snacks ready to go when you need them. This can be tricky in a culture inundated with salt and sugar, so we wanted to give you the recipe for Dr. Mel’s Droplets of Love!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pitted dates
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp MCT oil (liquid coconut oil)
  • 1 tbsp collagen protein powder
  • 1 dash of cinnamon
  • 1 dash of turmeric
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1-2 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 3 tbsp nut butter (almond butter, peanut butter, cashew butter, etc.)
  • 1 cup coconut flakes

Directions

Blend the dates and walnuts together in a high speed blender, until finely mixed (NutriBullet blenders work great). Add the dat/walnut mixture to a large bowl and add the rest of the ingredients, minus the coconut flakes. Mix together well with a spoon, until the mixture is think and sticky. Take pieces from the large mixture, form into whatever shop you desire, and roll in the coconut flakes until the bowl is empty! Let sit in the refrigerator for 1-hour then enjoy 🙂

This recipe is designed to be quick, easy, and fun! You can make the droplets as big or small as you want, and you can change the ingredients to match what you want or need from you daily snacks. For this recipe in particular, the only ingredient amounts that we suggest to keep constant is a 2 to 1 ratio of dates to walnuts. Dr. Mel suggests Bulletproof brand MCT oil and collagen protein powder. These products are made from extremely high quality ingredients and trusted sources.

If you are interested in other recipes Dr. Mel and I use on a daily basis, please ask! We are very passionate and knowledgeable about food and nutrition, as it played a huge role in the transformations we both went through. Also, if there are any other health topics you would like to know more about, we are more than willing to share our input! We are here to serve as a resource and have a lot of information we are willing and ready to share.

Keep Inspiring!
