Lessons from Nature - how to become ADAPTABLE in a chaotic world
𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 🌻
When I was a little girl, I would sit on the sidewalk and study the ants 🐜 how could something so small create such magnificent hills out of single grains of sand?
Like nature, 𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀.
This 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 permeates the entire universe, from the ants on the anthills…to the humans on the grass…all the way to the super novas bursting through the depths of the cosmos 🌌.
In these 2020 moments, I’ve found such strength and solitude in reflecting on (and in) nature.
𝟭. 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 - the deeper the tree roots grow, the stronger the storms it can weather 🌬⚡️🌲.
𝟮. 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 - being IN the 𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘸. Life is forever changing, moment to moment. It is within the 𝙉𝙊𝙒 we must embrace our 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿, for the storms of the future are unknown.
𝟯. 𝗽 𝗮 𝘂 𝘀 𝗲…𝘴𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘯. Hibernation and dormancy are part of the 𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘳𝘩𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘮𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦.
𝟰. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲 - how amazing is it that the plant 🌱 and fungi 🍄 kingdom have developed ways to communicate through the root system, the air, the moss, the wind…why can’t we be more 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 like this?
𝟱. 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 - do you think the trees beg for it to stop raining? Or wish and worry about, “when is it all going to end?” Yea…I didn’t think so 😉 embrace the now, for there is 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗱𝗼𝗺 in every experience.
𝟲. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 - even in moments where you feel sad, fearful, or angry…remember…𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂. You get to experience the whole range, like a rainbow 🌈 . 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴, 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨.
all my love,
